HIRING: Part-Time Install Manager

Cumoratek is seeking a Part-Time Install Manager with a strong drive for excellence, a passion for quality workmanship, and a passion for serving others.  An individual in this position would serve as the primary construction designer & coordinator for Cumoratek’s Audio/Visual & IT installation projects.  Responsibilities would include:  Architecting installation solutions (mounting, wiring, construction, etc) based on provided technical specifications, coordinating project logistics, and serving as the on-site team lead for installation projects.

Direct AV/IT experience is not required, but a strong conceptual understanding of Audio/Visual & IT systems is desired.

Due to its part-time nature, this position is intended as a contract-to-hire position, but other arrangements may be discussed based on the desires and qualifications of the candidate.  This position is slated to become a full-time position by mid-2026.

 

Skills Required:
An ideal candidate has the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and building codes (to architect and deploy installation solutions that are safe and visually attractive)
  • Conceptual understanding of AV/IT systems and typical installation practices thereof
  • Ability to read & interpret blueprints + ability to create new/updated prints for internal and subcontractor reference
  • Exceptional communication and attention to detail with clients, vendors, & subcontractors
  • Ability to independently problem-solve and manage dynamic project environments

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to work on their feet and perform physical labor for extended periods of time.
  • Able to pass a Missouri background check
  • Absolutely no active drug use

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in low-voltage installation

Work Schedule:

  • Part-Time (per-project Contract-to-Hire preferred, but negotiable by candidate request)
  • No Sundays, and extremely few Saturdays.

Pay:
$27-35/hr DOQ + Paid Holidays + PTO + Sales Commissions

Travel:
Regular travel within KC metro.  Occasional travel outside KC metro.

In-Person
